Know all the little secrets hidden in the bills

Whether it’s for traveling to the US, anywhere else in the world, or even for use here in Israel, it is important that you know how to identify Dollar bills.
We have compiled for you some key and easy signs that will help you to beware of counterfeit bills - both in Israel and abroad.
The signs are correct for all US Dollar bills:

1. Color changing ink - Moving the bill will cause the number in the lower right corner to change from copper to green.

2. Watermark - In all Dollar bills a watermark is found on the right side, above the number showing the bill’s amount.  The watermark bears the central portrait of the bill. Lift the bill into the light and you will be able to recognize it clearly.

3. Safety fiber - To the left of the portrait, a vertical safety fiber with the letters USA and the number of the bill amount. The fiber can be seen on both sides of the bill and it will become pink under ultraviolet light.

4. Socket pattern - Dollar bills are printed using the socket pattern, which is rough to the touch. If you touch them in the portrait area, you can feel the prominent ink.

5. Microprint - On both sides of the Dollar bills, you can find tiny letters in several places that can be read clearly only with a magnifying glass.

6. In the $ 100 bill! A blue security stripe -  the stripe is placed at the center of the bill. If you move the bill, you will find that the bells are changing to the numbe 100

By moving the note sideways, the bells and numbers will move up and down.

The strip is woven in paper, not printed on it.
